the 10th Annual Kona Surf Film Festival Set To Be Epic Weekend Of Film, Music, and Art!
Get ready for Hawaii’s premiere international surf film showcase, the Kona Surf Film Festival, Jan. 31st - Feb. 1st, 2014. The 10th installment of this epic weekend of film, acoustic music and art is set to be the biggest festival yet with surprise special guests to share in the stoke.
The Kona Surf Film Festival showcases independent short and feature films from established and emerging surf filmmakers from around the world. The films, which highlight wave-riding in all forms, are a genre-blending compilation of documentaries, high art, and beyond.
Festival founder and program director, Chad Campbell, is excited about the changes for this years fest, saying:
"We are going to be doing some really different, cool, installments. We are bringing the fest back into the heart of Kona, and we are very excited with our collaboration with Altres Hawaii. The 10th year is going to be really special."
The 2014 Festival will again present a sustainable art fair showcasing planet-friendly local art, design, fashion, jewelry and surf equipment and accessories. Art installations and an alternative surf movie screen will also feature as part of the line-up. Stay tuned for the music line up as well.
