You'll want to follow them, as they feature new songs and tour throughout Florida. Demand is high for this unique group, who will be putting their stamp on the music scene for years to come!

M&S: How did you start The Crazy Carls?
Alex: While going to school at UCF in Orlando I met a bassist, Crazy Carl. Crazy Carl and I would jam at parties all night. From there we got more musicians involved and started playing shows all over the place! Crazy Carl had to move away, but I decided to keep the party going!

M&S: How surf inspires The Crazy Carls music?
Alex: Surfing inspires my music in so many ways, it puts me in a creative state and it relaxes me. Many songs I've written have been started in the lineup or after a good session.

M&S: The song "Forgive me" will be released when? When the band will release a LP?
Alex: "Forgive me" is one of the first songs I've ever written! I haven't thought about releasing it again, maybe I'll throw it on a LP for you!

M&S: Are you a Kelly Slater fan, like you he is from Florida?
Alex: Ke11y Slater is my favorite surfer! He's the best, I'm a huge fan. I've met him a couple of times, he's a very down to earth guy.

M&S: What your favorite musicians and bands?
Alex: Since I was young, I've always been a massive Red Hot Chili Peppers fan! These days I've been jamming on a lot of dance music and I'm really getting into Prince, he's a badass.

M&S: The new versions for the songs are greats, but the first version of Ocean Floor is so cool. Tell us about the changes on the songs.
Alex: Thanks! "Ocean Floor" is one of my favorite songs for sure. The older version is much slower and rough sounding. I worked with an awesome producer, Travis Huff for my latest songs. Travis is very good at creating that modern sound and that's we wanted to give Ocean Floor. Have you seen my latest video for "Red Lipstick"? You gotta check it out on youtube!
